Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The IOP is the most involved level of care we offer. During their time in the IOP, clients will meet multiple times per week for a few hours each day. They will engage in therapies chosen by our care team that are most appropriate for their situation, history of substance use, and goals in recovery.

Some of the evidence-based therapies we use include:

  • Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) – Clients in our alcohol or opioid addiction treatment program may receive FDA-approved medications to mitigate long-term withdrawal symptoms.
  • Group therapy – 12-step principles guide our support groups, where clients learn they are not alone in recovery from drugs and alcohol. Here, they will also be able to forge bonds with others in recovery so they can have a strong safety network.
  • Relapse prevention therapy – This approach helps clients learn about the triggers that may lead to relapse and develop strategies to process them healthily.
